Progress Update – From the Samoa Post Office to Our Gate

Just another 25+ hour weekend on the rails! Our dedicated crew was hard at work again, making serious progress on the Samoa stretch of track—and it shows.

This weekend's accomplishments include:

  • 🛠️ 45 old ties removed and 45 new ties set in place

  • 🧹 All ties scraped and exposed

  • 🔍 80+ joint bars (jointers) exposed and inspected

  • 🌳 The massive hump caused by the big tree out front? Gone.

To get that hump out, we had to lift 90 feet of track, pull out all the ties, and remove nearly a foot of earth underneath. No small task—but we got it done.

The Results?

We’re now nearly halfway done with the stretch from the Samoa Post Office to our front gate—a milestone worth celebrating!

Special Thanks

Huge shout-out and thanks to Andrew, Ben, and Chet for sticking with us and making it happen.

Elsewhere on the Line...

We’re also proud to report that 2.7 miles of track have now been fully brush cleared, from Samoa to Manila. That’s the full width of the right-of-way, thanks to the tireless clearing efforts wrapped up this past week.

What’s Next?

With all this momentum, we're getting closer to a long-standing dream:
Late summer speeder rides might actually happen!

Stay tuned, and as always—thanks for your support. Every bolt turned, brush cleared, and tie set brings us one step closer to rolling again.
